Different Results in Different BrowsersMaybe its old news and maybe you have already noticed it. Google displays different results when searching from the toolbar in Firefox than in Internet Explorer. The reason is not clear, but it could be: search result shuffling, different data centers, testing data centers and search results and different user demographic. Despite the reasons behind it we have to say we like it. It is interesting to see different results in different browsers and it adds flavor to daily searching. The search results seem to be, at least us, of similar quality and therefore this is only positive. The size of Google’s index makes it ideal to shuffle results which, in a twisted way, give greater number of Web sites the chance of being found and provides the search user with less stagnant search results and therefore a better search experience. We would like to see more search result shuffling take place without compromising the quality of search results.
